Georgia Dorrian

Georgia Dorrian, a 19-year-old artist from Long Island, New York, has been dedicated to painting since childhood. She is currently a freshman at Stamps at the University of Michigan, getting a bachelor’s degree in Art and Design. She graduated from Huntington School of Fine Arts and Portledge School. Georgia has accumulated a diverse range of professional experiences, including an internship with Michelle Holland Interior Design and creative contributions to the Red Thread Atelier and Le Stitch. She has also worked extensively with young artists, volunteering at after-school art programs and providing both group and one-on-one lessons. In addition, Georgia is a member of the Michigan Music Business Club and Stampeed club, working on creative teams for each. While oil paint remains her favorite medium, she continues to explore varied mediums such as fiber art, carving, sculpture, graphic design, and mixed media to bring depth and versatility to her practice.

Deeply influenced by the complexities of young adulthood, the bonds of family, and the vibrant energy of the New York atmosphere, Georgia’s work captures the intricate interplay of personal and environmental narratives, presenting a dynamic exploration of emotion and experience.
